Characters:
Sarn Manta

"My Esmerelda, light of my life, I would walk through fire for you."
First Appearance: (new) Prologue, Page 14 (old) Arc I, Page 78
SARN Manta (sahrn MAHN-tah), a 23-year-old Dinosaur Tamer and Fire Mage, has blood-red eyes and deep maroon hair. He is 6' even and a semi-Canan, particularly longfur Dalmatian. His blood type is O-, and he's primarily right-handed, though he can use his left hand effectively for a lot of things, particularly dagger-handling and drunken boxing. His birthday is 5 Areill (April 5th). He favors the olive shade of green, of which shade most of his uniforms are. He is very carnivorous and eats dragon steak raw.
Sarn is quick-witted, but on the exterior he appears to be even-tempered. The illusion stops as soon as he opens his mouth. Vulgar, crude, and violent, he is a product of syndicate life from a young age, an undisciplined and unrightfully privelidged man who gets away with murder every week. Having his needs fulfilled and wishes granted on a whim (lest someone die for it), he does as he pleases (except in the presence of his most beautiful Lady Esmerelda, of course). He is strangely attracted to fire and known to burn things for entertainment. The same violence applies in his fascination with daggers, having a vast collection of them and having made many marks on walls with them.
Raised in a syndicate shrouded in darkness, he remains there to this day, taming nearby dragons and dinosaurs for their personal use. He knows only the syndicate, and while he has very few (if any) actual friends, he has many that respect him (and some that fear him for his volatile nature).
It's said that he was born under a Full Moon, and were it not for his natural predisposition for Fire (who knows who discovered that), he would have become a Werewolf. The Full Moon may have detrimental effects on his Fire abilities, but he compensates in physical acuity.
Special Items
Favorite Poison Dagger, Taming Whip
Sarn's Uniform
Within the DragonFly Syndicate, color determines rank. Most are black. Few are white, and even fewer gray. However, only one is green. Much like in the Booman tribe, green is seen as a very bold and enduring color, second only to violet, and it retains a personal and almost intimate symbolism. Themed after the appearance of insect wings, his getup makes him look larger than he really us.
Sarn's Mage Paint
His is the kind required by all Fire Mages of the syndicate, an orange stripe curved like a crescent moon beneath both eyes. He's been quoted as saying "They're the pointed daggers of flame."
